My homework was to do 10 contour and 10 gesture drawings. Honestly I have no idea what the difference was, either way I did 20 drawings in total.

The pictures are of objects found in my room and were drawn with ink and charcoal. Also they start to get more 'abstract' when I got tired.

Art exhibit

This week there is an art exhibition for the people living in accommodation. I submitted 4 pieces (left hand corner of the first pic and top left, right and middle of the second picture).

I handed them in a while a go so I forgot what I called them so I'll add the names later. Anyway here are the close ups.

6th of August

We were supposed to have a live model in class today but she didn't come. Instead we observed and drew for a statue of a man and a chicken.

Still life

I got my painting back from last term. It's a still life that was influenced by Georgio Morandi's still life paintings.

One Piece Shoes

I made these shoes a while ago (at the same time as the last post to be exact), however I haven't had a chance to take a nice photo of them due to computer issues, (even now I have to take the photo with my phone).

Like my manga collage, I cut out a bunch of pictures from a copy of 'Shounen Jump', though I decided to only use images from the manga 'One Piece'. Then I glued them to a pair of canvas shoes, which I bought from Kmart for about $10, with Modge Podge.
