Yuu-kun layers

In class we were asked to choose a cartoon character and create/ draw what they would look like on the insides as if they had an anatomical structure.

I chose to draw my character Yuu-kun (his name means courage in Japanese).

All the layers side by side, drawn on tracing paper.

1st layer: bones

2nd layer: organs

3rd layer: muscles. (He looks like a titan in this drawing)

4th layer: skin (fur?)

5th layer: clothes. I ran out of tracing paper at this point so I drew his clothes on a blank piece of paper.  Then I'll transfer it onto tracing paper like the others and colour it in.

Jaguar

For class we were asked to draw an animal or plant starting with the first letter of our name and draw it as a logo.

I'm not sure if its very logo-y though...

Extra: Work in progress of next drawing.

reflection

This drawing is a scene from my book "The Wish Bringer" where the main character Lapis is attacked by her reflection, drawn/ painted in watercolours.

I've been thinking of drawing this scene for a while, but found it hard to figure out the right poses, especially since most of the stock images with two people are couple shots as opposed to fighting shots, but I managed in the end.

Back home from my 1 month exchange in Rome, so now I'm doing a bit of house keeping by uploading some of the pictures I drew (and i'll eventually get around to updating my travel blog too).

Here are a few more drawings that I did while I was coming back.
